Kerala Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund [CMDRF]

Modi Public School, Siliguri, took an initiative to help the people of Kerala, who have suffered terrible losses due to flood, by raising fund. The school made an appeal to the parents and staff to contribute generously for the cause. The school collected Rs. 1,51,000.00 and deposited the same in Kerala Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund [CMDRF].

On 30.08.18, Shri Shiraz Daneshyar, I.A.S., Sub-Divisional Officer, Siliguri, visited the school and as a token of gesture, a demo cheque of Rs. 1,51,000.00 was handed over to him. Shri Shiraz appreciated the contribution made by the students and their parents and emphasised that students should always show compassion for the people in need. He encouraged the students to participate in community work and be positive towards the society in which they live.
