A Smash Hit in Siliguri! Modi Public School Hosts the 9th NBSSC Inter School Badminton Tournament 2024–2025
On Saturday, January 18, 2025, the Modi Public School campus in Siliguri buzzed with excitement and energy as we proudly hosted the 9th NBSSC Inter School Badminton Tournament for the academic year 2024–2025. The event brought together 11 reputed CBSE schools from across North Bengal, creating an atmosphere of spirited competition, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
Fair Play and Grand Inauguration
The fixtures for the tournament were meticulously prepared in the presence of school officials to ensure transparency and fair play. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Jayanta Pal, the Academic Director of Modi Public School, and was attended by esteemed dignitaries including Dr. S.S. Agarwal and Mrs. Taposhi Pal Banik (President and Secretary of the North Bengal Sahodaya School Complex), along with Shri Bijay Agarwal, Chairman, and other Trustees of the Nangalia Pokarmal Educational Society.
Thrilling Matches and Stellar Performances
The tournament was divided into categories: Individual Championship (Boys and Girls) and Team Games (Boys and Girls). The matches were fiercely competitive and had spectators on the edge of their seats. Students displayed outstanding agility, focus, and discipline—hallmarks of a true sportsperson.
